Artworks in barns
Each of the 12 artists from our three country teams created contemporary artworks inspired by barns. Their photo documentation, prepared for printing as exhibition materials, is available for download on the website by clicking here.

International meeting
An international meeting in Kápolnásnyék, Hungary, in April 2024 offered the opportunity to present the barn conversion designs created by the creative teams, fostering mutual inspiration. You can learn more on the "News" and the "Events" section of this website.

Events
Art camps and multiplier events were organized in each participating country to raise awareness of barn conversions. These events were complemented by exhibitions featuring artworks and barn conversion designs created as part of the project.

Study visit
Key team members visited the Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz region - the operational area of the German project partner - to learn about best practices on barn conversions, explore the latest technologies used, and tour several converted (and soon-to-be converted) barns.

The Model project
The three national teams developed conversion proposals aimed at addressing a common challenge: preserving the building's original character while meeting modern needs. Click here to view the three proposals – including the one that was actually built.
